St. ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ is widely regarded for all of its educational programs, and the Middle/Secondary Education major is no exception. As a student in the Stender School of Leadership, Business and Professional Studies, you’ll be immersed in courses that emphasize holistic and hands-on learning.

Benedictine Scholarship

All new first-year applicants to St. ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ will be awarded either the Benedictine Scholarship or the Access Award, upon admission to the College.

Financial Aid

100% of traditional incoming undergraduates receive some type of scholarships. The average for scholarships, grants and/or loans is $31,841.

Student Teaching

Students in the secondary education program complete 150 hours of classroom experiences prior to their 16 credits of student teaching in nearby middle and high schools during their senior year. Excellent local schools, both public and private, are happy to work with St. ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ students.

Accreditation

AAQEP logoThe Teacher Education program at the College of St. ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ is accredited by the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP) for a period of 7 years, from July 2019 to July 2026. The accreditation does not include individual education courses that the Educator Preparation Program offers to P-12 educators for professional development, re-licensure, or other purposes.

Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB)

The fully accredited Teacher Education Program is assessed according to the requirements and standards of the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB). The teacher education program has full continuing unit approval through June 30, 2026.
